Kent Kwik Stores Collecting Donations for PBRC Helping Hands

Now through February 11, 2019, Kent Kwik Stores will be collecting donations for the Permian Basin Rehab Center’s Helping Hands campaign. During the campaign, guests can donate anywhere from $1 to $100 and write their name or the name of a loved one on a hand to be placed inside the participating store.

” Since 1953, the Permian Basin Rehab Center (PBRC) has served thousands of patients of all ages and abilities who find themselves in need. The PBRC is the Permian Basin’s only comprehensive, non-profit, multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility that provides speech, physical, occupational therapy and hearing/audiology services. The therapists of the PBRC reach a broad cross-section of the community and bring positive change into the lives of countless individuals.”

The Kent Companies and Kent Kwik Convenience Stores are proud to support the PBRC and all of the services they provide to people across the Permian Basin. We want to support the people that support us. Our priority when raising money is making sure it goes to an organization that will use it locally. PBRC does that and it warms our hearts to see the people in our community benefiting from the generosity of our guests.

Kent Kwik Team Members Volunteer at Hunt for Heroes

Every year Kent Kwik Team Members, and Team Members from all across The Kent Companies, volunteer at the annual Hunt for Heroes banquet in Midland, TX. This banquet is put on by Show of Support, “a 501C3 non profit organization honoring America’s wounded veterans. Our generous donors allow us to thank these heroes with our annual Hunt for Heroes banquet and supply them and their wives with a week of West Texas hospitality and outdoor hunting adventures.”

Like many companies, we are fortunate to have hard-working veterans on our staff. We love supporting veteran organizations and this event specifically is one our team gets excited for every year.

Fuel Your School Returns

Kent Kwik Conveniences Stores are thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with Chevron to bring the Fuel Your School back to the Midland/Odessa market.bus

Fuel Your School is a program that helps generate funds for local classroom projects when consumers fuel up at Kent Kwik stations in Midland or Odessa. This is a very popular program that helps teachers get one new classroom project fully funded and greatly impacts our schools.

How it works:

During the month of October, $1 will be donated, up to $200,000 to help support public schools when consumers purchase 8 or more gallons of fuel at a local Kent Kwik in Midland or Odessa.

Teachers:

Here’s what you need to know to be eligible for Fuel Your School funding:

Create one project requesting up to $1,000 in classroom materials.

The teacher project submission period has changed to September 30 this year. Submit your project as close to this time as possible for the best chance of funding.

Project funding begins Wednesday, October 3, based on the order in which projects were submitted. Once a week, Kent Kwik and Chevron first funds one project per school in your market, Midland and Ector County. Projects will continue to be funded one at a time, on a rotating basis among schools in the same market, while funds last.

Please help us reach our goal of $200,000 by fueling up at during the month of October.

Rock The Desert

Kent Kwik Convenience Stores were proud to run the Coffee Shop tent at the 19th annual Rock The Desert Festival, Aug. 2-4. We served coffee, cold brew, lemonade, tea and pasties to the thousands of festival attendees. This tent was a welcomed addition to the line up of tents usually found during this three-day festival. Concert-goers were able to take a seat, relax with some cool air, charge their cell phones, and sip on some refreshments. There were also live bands that performed in the tent at night.
