The Kent Companies Donates Over $100,000 to PBRC

Kent Kwik and The Kent Companies presented PBRC with a check for $101,400 during their 2019 Telethon. This was the money raised during the Help Hands Campaign that took place in stores. The Kent Companies has been raising money for PBRC for over thirty years and this is53403647_2172669512772534_427774271620644864_n the largest sum we have ever collected. We value our partnership with PBRC for the great work they do in our community. They help children and families all across the Permian Basin, including families in our own company. We make it one of our missions to help organizations like this within our community. The bar has been set high for us and we hope to continue to increase our donation amount.

About PBRC, “Since 1953, the Permian Basin Rehab Center (PBRC) has served thousands of patients of all ages and abilities who find themselves in need. The PBRC is the Permian Basin’s only comprehensive, non-profit, multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility that provides speech, physical, occupational therapy and hearing/audiology services. The Kent Companies to Give Away Car at 2020 Annual Company Banquet

One lucky Kent Kwik or Kent Companies team member will win a 2019 cherry-red Chevy Camaro at the 2020 Kent Companies Awards Banquet. 2018 was the biggest year for The Kent Companies and during the 2019 Annual Awards Banquet, team members were surprised when two cars were driven up to the stage. One car was to be given away that evening, a 2019 Chevy Equinox, and the second, the Camaro, would be given away at 2020 banquet.

As the company grows, so does the appreciation of the everyday team members that keep our stores running. The winner of the Chevy Equinox was Blanco Sotelo who worked for Rustic Cafe for seven years. We can’t wait to see who wins next year’s car!

Bean to Cup Machines Added to 3 Kent Kwik Locations

Schaerer Bean to Cup coffee machines have been added to three Kent Kwik stores. Guests can find them at Kent Kwik 273, 240 TX-302, Kermit, TX 79745; Kent Kwik 316,  4400 W Illinois Ave, MiBean2Cupdland, TX 79703; and Kent Kwik 320, 6101 Andrews Hwy Midland, TX 79706.

Each store has three machines with a house blend, dark blend, Texas Pecan blend and decaf blend. The Bean to Cup machines prompt the guest, on a touchscreen, to first choose whether they want hot or iced coffee, then they pick their size and blend. Once all the selections have been made, the machine fresh grides the beans and brews the cup of coffee right there, on the spot. This ensures guests will receive the freshest cup of coffee. A total game changer to convenience store coffee, guest can now receive coffee shop quality coffee without the price or wait time.

As we see how these machines perform in our three test stores, we hope to expand them to more locations. Keep an eye out for these machines at a Kent Kwik near you.
