Kent Kwik Donates $5,000 to Haskell Fire Department

On Monday, March 25th, The Kent Companies opened their 47th Kent Kwik location in Haskell, Texas. This location is a full 24/7 travel center and Rustic Cafe. During opening day, a grand opening event was held that featured giveaways, raffle prizes and ribbon cuttings with the Haskell Chamber of Commerce.

Followed by the ribbon cutting was a check presentation to the Haskell Fire Department for the amount of $5,000. Casey Moeller,  Haskell Department Fire Chief, said this money will go towards purchasing new equipment.

Haskell is a new market for Kent Kwik and it is important to show involvement in the community right away. The Kent Companies firmly believes in supporting the communities that support them and this is only the beginning.

The Kent Companies Donates Over $100,000 to PBRC

Kent Kwik and The Kent Companies presented PBRC with a check for $101,400 during their 2019 Telethon. This was the money raised during the Help Hands Campaign that took place in stores. Over the course of six weeks, guests were able to donate to PBRC anytime they entered a Kent Kwik store or any other Kent Company store.

The Kent Companies has been raising money for PBRC for over thirty years and this is the largest sum we have ever collected. We value our partnership with PBRC for the great work they do in our community. They help children and families all across the Permian Basin, including families in our own company. We make it one of our missions to help organizations like this within our community. The bar has been set high for us and we hope to continue to increase our donation amount.

About PBRC, “Since 1953, the Permian Basin Rehab Center (PBRC) has served thousands of patients of all ages and abilities who find themselves in need. The PBRC is the Permian Basin’s only comprehensive, non-profit, multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility that provides speech, physical, occupational therapy and hearing/audiology services. The therapists of the PBRC reach a broad cross-section of the community and bring positive change into the lives of countless individuals.”
